Poetry: He Loves Me

Poetry: He Loves Me

I used the words and phrases in a segment of free writing to develop a poem that describes a jewellery piece metaphorically. Pictured below is the jewellery piece and below it is the poem That I created.
van der Linden, A., (2018) He Loves Me,
Earrings in sterling silver, pearl and cubic zirconia beads.

Poem:

He Loves Me…

Damaged flowers, torn
Petals plucked out, imperfect
they seek completion

When placed together,
they fill the empty spaces
and two become one

Insignificant
are their pasts, love now shines through
 they are whole again
